This unit ordered for my Motorala RAVR V3 phone is totally useless. There was no way provided to connect the antenna to my phone -- presumably this would have to be through the charging port.
I have owned external antennas in the past with other phones and they have worked very well. I purchased this antenna because I recently purchased a new phone and needed a new antenna because I live in a dead spot. The antenna made no difference. I can actually use my phone without the antenna, but the signal breaks up every few minutes, I thought that perhaps this would give it an extra boost, but sometimes I think it made it worse, I actually just went back to using my phone without the antenna.
I have had 3-4 bars of signal, consistently and the calls seem clear. I bought the antenna so I would have better reception in my basement. I had to run it out a window and the magnet holds it to the siding on the house (I placed plastic around it to prevent rusting). My Motorola Razr was useless and never had signal in my basement before I used the antenna. Only complaint is that the cord is a little short and it only worked after I put it outside (it didn't work by just placing it by the window on the inside).
I was very disappointed in the antenna - it made absolutely no difference in reception & dropping calls. It was not worth the money.
